Our customers may now opt to have payment for their
quarterly water/sewer bills automatically withdrawn from their checking or
savings account. Enrollment forms are available at Bangor Water District
(614 State Street) or the City of Bangor’s Wastewater Department (760
Main Street) during regular business hours.
Customers
who sign up for the service would continue to receive their bill each
quarter, but would no longer have to write and mail a check. Under the
program,

a
30-day set-up window is required before automatic withdrawals begin
-
the
full amount of water and sewer due on the billing due date would be
withdrawn (no partial payments or payment for only one service would
be possible)

the
payment would be withdrawn from the customer’s account on the
billing due date or next business day

the
customer may withdraw from the program by notifying us in writing
