Water bills not
paid by the due date accrue per diem charges currently at an annual rate
of 12 percent.
Maine water
districts may also attach liens for unpaid water bills. Unpaid water
bills then become the property owner's responsibility even if accrued by
tenants.
Both BWD's
interest rate and lien options are in conformance with Maine Public
Utilities Commission regulations. |
