Water Rates   


          These rates are in effect as of July 1, 2007 and are phased in over a period of 90 days.  The District's last rate increase was in 2005.  The new rates became effective by Maine law after notice to customers and a public hearing process.

                $ 26.00  quarterly minimum (5/8" meter) based on 9 hundred cubic feet minimum
                       $ 1.74  per one hundred cubic feet for first 210 hundred
                       $ 1.53  per one hundred cubic feet to 15,000 hundred
                       $ 1.41  per one hundred cubic feet above 15,000 hundred

    The average residential customer consumes 20 hundred cubic feet or 15,000 gallons
of water each quarter (3 months).

    In Bangor, this volume of water costs $45.14.

    Multiplied by 4 quarters per year, the average residence uses 80 hundred cubic feet 
or 60,000 gallons per year which costs $180.56.

Sign up fee: $25.00
Collection fee: $25.00 (visit to premises)
Reconnection fee: $50.00 during business hours (disconnected for non-payment or for more than five days at customer request)
