2025 Seasonal Flushing Program
Through this spring and summer, you’ll notice hydrants open for extended periods of time as we begin our annual flushing program. This program ensures that customers continue to receive high quality water and allows us to monitor flow for fire-protection purposes.
When our crew is flushing in your area, you may notice discolored water and reduced water pressure. The water is safe to use and will settle out within an hour or so. You can clear your lines of any discoloration by letting your COLD water run for up to 15 minutes after the flushing in your area is complete.
In the event of an emergency, or you have a medical need such as home dialysis, which may be impacted, please call our office at (207) 947-4516.
